IASJ (International Association of Schools of Jazz) was an annual convention that took place in Denmark from 29th of June to 5th of July. Swinging Europe was in charge of the meeting in 2013 in collaboration with the Aarhus Conservatory of Music in Aarhus, and we were able to offer 110 students, professors and rectors from 42 jazz schools/conservatories from 34 countries and 4 continents welcome to one week in the name of jazz. The activities of the first days took place in Vildbjerg, a borough of Herning Municipality, where auditions, lectures, combi-sessions and concerts were attended. From the 2nd of July to the 5th of July 2013, the meeting continued in Aarhus, where the last two concerts also took place.
