Indian Skies

In *Indian Skies*, the Copenhagen Jazz Orchestra—with its chamber-music-like ensemble sound, rhythmic drive, and soloists—joins forces with leading musicians from the vibrant Indian musical tradition. Before the concert, Lars Møller will discuss *Indian Skies* and the process of blending the moods, rhythms, and virtuosity of Indian music with the Copenhagen Jazz Orchestra’s playful, delicate, and powerful expression. *Indian Skies* represents the culmination—to date—of composer and saxophonist Lars Møller’s decades-long work incorporating the emotional depth of melodic Indian music, a journey shaped by countless collaborations with ensembles large and small in both India and Denmark. Come experience the concert at Herning Gymnasium on Wednesday, November 11, starting at 7:00 PM. Tickets are DKK 50 (payable via MobilePay at the entrance). N.B.: This is also an opportunity to hear about Swinging Europe’s latest initiative for up-and-coming musicians—THE AKADAMY. Perhaps you’d like to get involved?
