ANNIVERSARY: Jazz Concert Featuring Emerging and Professional Musicians
Developing new emerging talents and future professional musicians through talent development - creating the sound of tomorrow.
Since 2001, the talent development project PLAY!GROUND LIVE has given 12 young, talented musicians each year the opportunity to make their mark on the music scene. By 2026, the concept has served as a launchpad for a total of 230 professional musicians, who took some of their first steps here and developed their talents as both instrumentalists and vocalists.
PLAY!GROUND LIVE brings together a group of talented musicians selected by bandleader Bo Stief through national auditions held across Denmark. Selection is based on musical ability and social skills, with an emphasis on achieving an equal gender balance.
Bassist, composer, bandleader, producer, mentor and teacher - Bo Stief has worn many hats throughout his career.
Since the 1960s, Bo Stief has established himself as a prominent figure on both the Danish and international music scenes. He is one of Denmark's leading bassists, helping to put Danish bass playing on the international map, and one of the few musicians to master both electric and acoustic bass at the highest level.
