Regionally, we contributed with a dance workshop and a rap workshop at Herning’s Cultural Festival under the sub-themes “Close to the Sun” and Kultur i Mørket; we also participated in conferences, workshops, and cultural meetings focused on European cultural funding, early cultural education for children, and the further development of intercultural projects.
Once again this year, the new ensemble of PLAY!GROUND LIVE toured the country, performing for both young and old, and we attended the Cultural Summit Mors to network and experience innovative cultural events in a national context.
Internationally, we took the first steps toward the major intercultural collaboration project MoSaIC with a kick-off partner meeting on November 15–16 in Milan, where we participated as a partner. MoSaIC—short for Music for Sound Integration in the Creative Sector—aims to involve refugees and migrants in European society through music as storytelling across nationalities and languages. In connection with NIMPE, we participated in the NIMPE Music Factory during the Linecheck Festival with up-and-coming Danish musicians from November 22–24, who took the stage. Additionally, we traveled to Greenland in May to meet with our partner, Børnehjemmet Uummannaq, as part of the Nordic project Young Nordic Stars.
Furthermore, our new intercultural Erasmus+ project, humARTS: Creatively Interpreting Human Rights, was approved by Erasmus+ and is scheduled to take place in the summer of 2019.
