2016 var et berigende, men også inspirerende og kulturelt år for Swinging Europe. Ikke kun i form af vores projekter, men også i skabelsen af netværksforbindelser og samarbejder, skete der spændende udviklinger både regionalt, nationalt og internationalt med henblik på at udvikle, styrke og søsætte bl.a. tværdisciplinære samarbejdsprojekter.
Regionalt udfoldede InVITAtion Lab sig i Ringkøbing-Skjern Kommune og kimen til projektet Migrant Music blev sået. Nationalt var 2016 året, hvor Swinging Europes årlige talentudviklingsorkester, PLAY!GROUND LIVE, med den internationale musiker Bo Stief i front, kunne fejre sit 15-års jubilæum. Det var også året, der igangsatte videreudviklingen af selvsamme musikkoncept, som vil kulminere i en ikke før set nordisk version af orkestret, nemlig PLAY!GROUND LIVE NORDIC. På samme tid planlagde, koordinerede og udviklede Swinging Europe flere nye internationale projekter, blandt andet Erasmus+ projektet Culture ShoX, det ukrainske samarbejdsprojekt, Sound Becomes Life, samt det europæiske netværkskoncept, NIMPE.

2016 was a rewarding, inspiring, and culturally rich year for Swinging Europe. Not only through our projects, but also in the creation of network connections and collaborations, exciting developments took place both regionally, nationally, and internationally, aimed at developing, strengthening, and launching interdisciplinary collaborative projects.
Regionally, the InVITAtion Lab unfolded in the Ringkøbing-Skjern Municipality, and the seeds for the Migrant Music project were planted. Nationally, 2016 was the year when Swinging Europe’s annual talent development orchestra, PLAY!GROUND LIVE, led by international musician Bo Stief, celebrated its 15th anniversary. It was also the year that set in motion the further development of the same music concept, which will culminate in a never-before-seen Nordic version of the orchestra, namely PLAY!GROUND LIVE NORDIC. At the same time, Swinging Europe planned, coordinated, and developed several new international projects, including the Erasmus+ project Culture ShoX, the Ukrainian collaboration project Sound Becomes Life, and the European network concept NIMPE.
